Kamakura-Custar

Castella? Or custard? The mysterious name "Kamakura-Custar" is a sponge cake with more than 20 kinds of creams, including custard and chocolate. The shops are mainly located in the Kamakura and Shonan areas, and they have also expanded into department stores in Kanagawa Prefecture and Tokyo.

So I was a little surprised to see on the Kamakura City Hall website that I happened to see the name "Kamakura-Custar" on the website. Oh, you don't want me to introduce you to other shops? and. No one is saying anything about the significance of it, so I guess it's a true standard.

When I opened the yellow box, a bun-shaped sponge cake, about one size larger than a tea bun, came out from inside. When I took it out of the bag, it smelled like a sponge cake, and when I forced myself to cut it in half, the lightly colored cream fell out of the inside. I tried it, and it was delicious. Before eating it, I thought it was similar to "Hagi no Tsuki (Sendai)", but when I ate it, it was not so, it was closer to the flavor of cream puffs.

It seems that the cream is injected afterwards, and there is a lot of unevenness inside. But this cream is delicious. It's not too sweet, so I think the number will go up. I can't go too far, because I need refrigeration.
