Ibaraki Prefecture is located in the northeastern part of the Kanto region and faces the Pacific Ocean. The prefectural capital is Mito City. The prefecture's tree is a plum tree. It is pronounced "Ibaraki(Not Ibaragi)" by Ibaraki Prefecture people.
