Hiroshima is the central prefecture of the Chugoku region. The prefectural capital is Hiroshima City. The western part of the prefecture, where Hiroshima City is located, is called Aki, and the eastern part of the prefecture, where Fukuyama City is located, is called Bingo. The prefecture's flower is the maple tree and the prefecture's fish is the oyster.
After all, oysters are the specialty of this town. Momiji Manju (sweet red buns), which became popular as a stand-up comedy, is also popular, as is Okonomiyaki.
Sightseeing spots include Miyajima in Aki, the Atomic Bomb Dome, the "Shimanami Sea Route" to Shikoku, and Onomichi.
