Fukuoka Prefecture is the central prefecture of Kyushu. It faces the Sea of Japan (the Hibiki Sea and the Genkai Sea), the Seto Inland Sea (the Suo Sea), and the Ariake Sea. The prefectural capital is Fukuoka City. The prefecture's flower is a plum blossom.
It's close to Korea and has a lot of interaction. It includes the two cities of Fukuoka and Kitakyushu.
Its specialties include a variety of sweets (mochi confections), red pepper mentaiko and Hakata ramen. It's strange that Hiyoko has a branch in Tokyo.
When it comes to sightseeing, Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine comes to mind.
